Madrid, May 7 (Prensa Latina) Members from anti-Cuban groups settled in Florida joined the US work to avoid improving Europe relations with Cuba, Spanish media denounced Wednesday.

An article published in Miami by digital newspapers "Rebelion" and "La Republica" reveals that labor is being developed by representatives from Miami anti-Cuban Mafia small groups and those from the US administration.

Those figures walk freely through Europe, with the money they have taken from Washington and the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), to press the European Union (EU) and preserve a hostile policy to the island, states the note.

The text notes that among executors of those actions is the so-called Cuban Democratic Directorate (CDD), known as a CIA group and one of the most aggressive one against Cuba.

The CDD is involved in a notorious scandal for misappropriation of funds valued at over $6 million, received by the US government to act against the Caribbean nation, stresses the article inked by journalist Patricio Montesinos.

The document adds that anti-Cuban attacks in Europe have also included Spain and they take place when EU gets closer to Cuba and currently-suspended sanctions imposed to the island in 2003 are ripe for revising.

They also coincide with the celebration next week in Brussels, headquarter of the EU, of another meeting against the Caribbean country, promoted and paid by Washington and attended by former Czech Republic President Vaclac Havel and Mexico's Vicente Fox.

Top-level officials from the US State Department as Tom Shannon and Caleb McCarry were in Europe in the last few weeks, and visited Madrid, where they met with the government's officials, the article states.

Another figure who also visited several European capitals was Frank Calzon, infamous CIA agent, concludes the dailies' note.
