"The Future History of the Nothing Man" by A Constantine

"The Future History of the Nothing Man"
Alex Constantine

Walking the streets,
I'm not looking for Abraham.
A beggar looks down and moans,
The moon drops down into his hand

And he reads in the moon's dull glow
Future history of the Nothing Man.

Nothing in the sky to speak of,
Nothing on his mind to speak of.
Impaired eyes, blinded by the morning light.

Future of Nothing Man -
See beyond the sun and understand
You're dying.

"There's a token, don't you drop it,
Nothing in your ragged pocket,
Nothin' man!"

Dying on the Street,
No life left in the heat.
Nothing man "set free"
In a "game" of destiny -
Reads in the moon's dull glow
The future of Nothing Man.

Ooooooo ...
