Karachi, Oct 15 (ANI): Pakistan People's Party (PPP) leaders have asked the ruling Pakistan Muslim League (PML) to immediately stop disseminating propaganda against the arrival of party chief Benazir Bhutto.

PPP's provincial information secretaries of Sindh and Punjab Nafees Siddiqui and Chaudhry Ghulam Abbas warned that the government would be held responsible if any harm was done to Benazir or her rally on October 18.

Pointing at the impression being created by 'government circles' that the former Prime Minister could change her return schedule, they asked the government to refrain from confusing the people of the country by making such statements.

The Daily Times quoted Ghulam Abbas as saying that Benazir had announced the schedule of her return much before the promulgation of the NRO by the government.

He went on to say that the PPP chief was not scared of baseless cases or from any threat, adding that she would return for the people of the country.

Nafees Siddiqui said that Benazir's announcement has created cracks in the ruling coalition, as it knows that her return would be tantamount to their political death, the daily reported.
