Freedom-Loving KBR (Kellogg Brown & Root) Contractor in Iraq Confesses to Possession of All-American Child Porn

Jeers to local contractor for child porn possession

Jeers to Vidor contractor Robert Toutcheque, who confessed to possession of child pornography, some of which was found on a thumb drive, a portable information storage device, at the Army base he was working at in Iraq. He was sentenced this week to 21 months in federal prision. We wonder what his sentence would have been had the Iraqis found the smut.

A Vidor man who was linked to child pornography while working as a civilian contractor in Iraq will surrender to prison officials in two weeks after being sentenced Monday for possessing the illicit images.

Robert Toutcheque, who worked in Iraq for Houston-based KBR [formerly Kellogg Brown and Root], pleaded guilty in July to child pornography possession charges and was sentenced Wednesday to 21 months in prison by U.S. District Judge Marcia Crone.

The 39-year-old was linked to child pornography in July 2006 when a portable media storage unit was found on the ground by U.S. Army personnel during a routine security patrol at a military base in Iraq, according to federal prosecutors.

A review of the drive found child pornography and indicated it was owned by Toutcheque, according to court documents.

Coordinating with the Army's criminal investigators, Immigrations and Customs Enforcement agents searched Toutcheque's Vidor home eight days later, seizing two laptop computers found to contain at least 26 child pornography images and one video, court documents indicate.

Assistant U.S. Attorney Robert Rawls said he did not know which base the drive was found at but said Toutcheque had been in Iraq about a year.

Toutcheque, whom the prosecutor said has been cooperative, returned from Iraq when confronted with the allegations and was not jailed during the legal proceedings.
