Forum in the Dominican Republic on the Press and Conspiracy in Venezuela

Santo Domingo, August 15 (PL).— With great expectations, preparations are underway in this capital city for the Forum on Press, Conspiracy and Blockade in Venezuela, to take place this weekend, sponsored by national and Latin American journalists’ organizations.

The opening session is set for August 17 in the Dominican Journalists’ National Center, and the Saturday sessions will take place in the Pedro Mir Library at the Autonomous University of Santo Domingo (UASD).

Expected to participate are specialists in communication, political manipulation and propaganda from the Dominican Republic, Venezuela and Puerto Rico.

One of the sessions will be led by Eleazar Díaz Rangel, former director of the School of Social Communication at the University of Venezuela (UCV) and a former president of the Federation of Latin American Journalists (FELAP).

Other presenters include Martín Pacheco, Venezuelan journalist and director of information and opinion at the Bolivarian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Also confirmed as a speaker is Nelson del Castillo, current secretary general of FELAP and a distinguished Puerto Rican editor for two decades.
